Summary

*Second Shift: The payrate for this position will include a shift differential for all hours worked during the second shift*

This position is responsible for setting up and operatin g CNC Rollomatic/Tru-Tech Revolution grinders , and ensuring that we conform to all applicable safety, customer, quality, and environmental standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in team initiatives to identify and resolve safety issues.
• Participation in developing LEAN solutions throughout manufacturing.
• Perform Incoming Inspections
• Accurately use Micrometers
• Interprets complicated drawings, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done.
• Performs diversified operations on CNC Rollomatic/Tru-Tech Revolution grinders.
• Reviews specifications to determine machining sequences and dimensions of finished work piece.
• Attaches fixtures to machine and positions and secures work piece in fixture according to setup instructions.
• Selects and installs proper grinding wheel on spindle. Dresses wheel as necessary to generate correct form.
• Performs a variety of inspection and gauging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications.
• Records readings as necessary in inspection reports.
• Complete ownership for housekeeping in assigned work area.

Education and/or Work Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  
   

Technical Skills/Physical Requirements

• Good interpersonal, cooperative and team -oriented skills and behaviors
• Proven independent performer that needs minimal supervision
• Ability to use production management tools including LEAN, material management systems, and maintenance of accurate throughput and quality records.
• Manual dexterity required to accurately handle and position parts.
• Walking and standing on the shop floor for extended periods throughout the day.
• Lifting and transport of materials (20-40 lbs). 
• Ability to comprehend and apply experience and training to successfully perform duties listed above.
• Ability to effectively balance priorities and multiple tasks to achieve overall production goals.
• Must be available to work overtime during periods of high order volume. 
• Basic computer literacy (email, data entry into required systems, MSN Office)
