A successful full-scope Optometry practice in Pierre, SD is looking to add an Associate Optometrist 4 days per week - No call or weekends
Founded and staffed by area natives who wanted to give back to their community, this well-established private practice supports Optometrists who want to practice at the top of their license. One of few vision practices in central South Dakota, they co-manage ocular pathology, surgical patients, dry eye, medical visits, emergencies, fit specialty lenses, and there is also opportunity for vision therapy and low vision. They are currently in the process of obtaining certification for YAG and SLT procedures and obtaining the lasers and instruments to perform them. Their technology currently includes multiple auto-refractors and tonometers, Optos, Antares+ Multi-functional topographer, Cirrus 4000 OCT, Optilight IPL, and a virtual visual field. This busy practice has been seeing patients since 1980, and their 4-doctor team sees 60-70 patients per day.

Pierre is located in central South Dakota along the Missouri River and is only a couple hours from Sioux Falls and Rapid City. Central South Dakota is an outdoor enthusiast paradise offering fishing, hunting, water sports, winter sports, hiking, biking, and running trails. The cities of Pierre and Fort Pierre offer many amenities and are an excellent place to raise a family. The Pierre Regional Airport offers 12 round-trip flights to Denver weekly.
Overview:
-Work 4 days per week, 8-5
-No call or weekends
-Full-scope of exams

-Tech support (1 dedicated, 1 floating)
-See 15-25 patients per day
Compensation and benefits:
-Will be discussed with the OD
-Base pay ($110,000-$130,000) plus generous incentives
-Total earning potential easily $170,000-$200,000
