Your career with us will start out as a General Repair Vehicle Technician performing skilled mechanical diagnosis and repair on automotive vehicle equipment owned and operated by Spokane Transit. You will inspect, test, adjust, repair and replace complete or integral parts of engines, transmissions, drive shafts, and differentials. You will maintain cooling, electrical, exhaust, and air or hydraulic brake systems. Are you looking for advancement? Based upon your acquired knowledge and drive to succeed, you can go from being a General Repair Mechanic to a Journeyman Mechanic, Lead Mechanic, or Foreperson.

A valid driver’s license from Washington or Idaho with a clean record
Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (We do the training & testing!)
The ability to pass a General Repair Vehicle Technician examination
