We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Medical Billing Specialist to join a leading Company located in the Richmond, VA surrounding area.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Primarily be responsible for accounts receivable and identifying, investigating, and resolving unpaid claims, which will include researching individual payer policies and submitting claims appeals. 
• Accurately posting electronic or paper payments. 
• Will have other assigned duties that may include making and receiving patient calls, communicating with physicians and office staff, and data entry. 
• Willbe required to meet accuracy and volume thresholds in order tosucceed. 
• The successful candidate will be flexible and adaptable and havea willingness to learn other duties within the business office ofprocessing and procedures.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• Has 2+ years' experience with medical billing, the posting of remits, charge entry andworking with insurance companies.
• 2+ years of Medicalbilling and insurance AR follow upexperienceis mandatory.
