DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
Summary: Performs general welding and fabrication for plant facility, equipment, and projects. Assists the maintenance technicians in general mechanical work within the faciality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for fabrication and weldments of special projects and general faciality requirements.
• Responsible for performing basic repairs on plant equipment and facilities.
• Responsible for maintaining proper operation and safety of plant equipment.
• Responsible for obeying Company Work Rules and Safety Rules.
• Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and /or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Minimum of 3 years of welding and mechanical experience is required.
Skills:
Must have ability to read and follow manufacturer’s specifications, blueprints, and manuals. Must be skilled in using hand tools and power tools, experience with rigging, fork lifts, and man lifts preferred. Proficient in Mig and Stick welding carbon and stainless steel. Tig and aluminum welding experience appreciated.

• Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs., occasionally.
• Must to be capable of standing, sitting, bending, and reaching for up to 8 hours.
Applicant Onsite Skills Testing
All applicants will be given a skills test prior to hiring to determine level of ability. The skills test will consist of the following
• Hands on welding test (applicants will be required to supply their own hood)
• Blueprint reading
